]]>What clothes do I wear?
You should dress comfortably in clothes that allow freedom of movement. Formal attire is only for special occasions. Our Friday night parties are usually casual. You should also wear comfortable shoes, but not sneakers. (Tip: Leather soles work better than rubber or non-skid soles for dancing.)
I have two left feet! Isn’t it hard to learn to dance?
Not really. Dancing is a lot like walking in a specific pattern and rhythm. If you can walk forward, backward, and step to the side, you can dance! Our instructors will make it easy to learn and fun to do!
But I have no rhythm…
Part of learning to dance is learning how to find the beat in the music. Most people have natural rhythm; however, many have not been taught how to match the rhythm to the music. At Dance Dimensions your instructor will teach you how to listen for the beat and how to stay on time with it.
What music can I dance to?
We dance to everything from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to Chris Isaak and Sting; Sarah Brightman to Pink; Classical, Modern, Rock, Latin, Hip Hop and more.
Where can I go dancing?
There are a lot of places in town to go dancing. Many clubs such as The Palace or Fairbanks have dance floors. We are members and supporters of USA Dance (formerly the United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association, USABDA), and the Knoxville chapter holds a dance each month. Of course, we have a party every Friday from 9 to 11 p.m.
How long does it take to learn?
That depends upon how often your take your lessons and how good you want to be. On the average, it takes 2-3 months and 10-15 private lessons for someone to become comfortable dancing on a social level.
How much does it cost?
We offer a $15 introductory private lesson so that you may check us out and see if this is what you are looking for. There are NO BIG, expensive contracts and NO memberships. (Prices are for singles or couples.)
How do I get started?
Setting up your first lesson is easy. Just call (865) 692-2220 and we will schedule your first lesson at your earliest convenience. Call now!

Answer: There are NO big, expensive contracts and NO “memberships” to purchase.
Partnership dancing has really increased in popularity as of late. At Dance Dimensions our philosophy is: dancing should be affordable for everyone. Therefore, you may buy a block of lessons or you may buy one lesson at a time — it is your decision and we respect that — NO pressure, Our Friday Night Party is open to all. Everyone there always has a good time so we don’t have to lock people in the door with a membership requirement!
