Hey,

Just wanted to let everyone know that Teachers at DD are involved in the a local Dancing with the stars for the ET Children’s Hospital. Initailly, Rhonda is paired with Terry Morrow, JW is Paired with Lori Tucker and I am paired with Gretchen Bartlett.

These stars are taking time out of their busy schedule to raise money for the kids, please help us out by voting with your donations. I will follow up with more info as it comes in.

The event is April 23, please clear your calendar that evening and join us to help the Kids.

Next USA Dance event will be held here at Dance Dimensions, April 4, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm (not 4:30). USA Dance Members $7, non-members $10 and Students $3 (with valid ID).

Very good question…

If you take a private lesson, you are paired with a male instructor and he becomes your partner.

In the group classes, everyone rotates. If there is an odd number, someone just works by themselves in that step of the rotation.

Hi Francis,

If you look more closely at our Calendar, it starts on Monday not Sunday, so we go to Purada’s on Tuesday nights. Please come and join us, it is very informal, people who dance simply get together and have a good time. You will surely notice our group because we park ourselves right off the dance floor. The music is rather popular stuff that we can Cha cha, Rumba and Swing to. Please join us. MB

Hi there.

I’m a dancer currently living in Iowa who is coming to Knoxville on Monday. I’ll also be coming to Knoxville in June and on other occassions. Since we don’t have a lot of dancing here in Iowa, I try to dance when I travel (I originally trained in Nashville while finishing my doctorate.) I noticed that you have a standing dance group that goes to Purada’s on Monday nights and that you also sponsor the usadance events. Can anyone join you at Puradas? And what kinds of dancing/music do they play? If there are no delays with my flight, I should get in at about 7:30. So I’d like to drop by.
